Recovery After Rhinoplasty in Turkey
Many patients wonder what life is like after a rhinoplasty nose job and if they can return to their regular activities. The recovery time for a rhinoplasty nose job may vary according to the type of procedure.
However, most patients are able to return to work and their normal activities within seven to ten days. Just make sure not to bend, or lift anything heavy for a few days.
Recovery after Rhinoplasty
During this time, it’s important to keep up with your pain medication and antibiotics to promote healing after the surgery.
Once you have returned to your normal activities, there are certain precautions that you should take for at least a month following the procedure:
- If you smoke, stop and try not to be around smokers as this could affect your recovery.
- It is a must that you don’t do any strenuous activity for a month or so. This is because everything around the nose has been shifted and there will be some pressure on the nose.
- Take care of your dressing, monitor any discharge you have, and make sure that it is cleaned on time.
- You may apply ice packs on your cheeks or forehead to reduce swelling. Make sure to not put it directly on the bridge of your nose.
- Avoid extreme cold and wind.
- Wear sunscreen on your nose when outdoors.
